Jimena Peláez clings to her boyfriend's hand, her daughter half asleep on her hip. "I hope this works, babe," she whispers as they climb the steps to the Bonners' house. "You sure this is the right house? And you're sure this is the family Zeke stayed with? I know he's your best friend and all, but I just wanna be sure these people will actually help us. Adi's almost asleep and we don't have enough money to get anywhere else."
Jimena takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. When it opens, she rambles off the speech she prepared: "Hi. I'm Jimena Peláez. This is my boyfriend Zion and our daughter Adilynn. Adi for short. Zion and I are sixteen and I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant with our second and his parents decided they didn't like that. Can we come in?"

"I am sure that this is the right house. I am 100% sure that Zeke stayed with them and that they will help us." Zion says.
Tanya was coming down the steps when she knocks on the door. She opens the door. After hearing the young girls speech she moves over to let them in. "Sure come on in." she says. "Amos, Babe I need you in the living room."

Amos enters the living room just as Jimena settles herself on the couch. "Are You Amos?" she asks him. "Amos Bonner?"
He glances at Tanya. "Yes. That's me. What's going on?"

"Well, we were hoping that you would be able to help us. We were living at my parents till they kicked us out yesterday. My best friend Zeke told me about you guys and we were hoping that you would be able to help us. Possieably by letting us stay here with you guys." Zion says.

"Zeke Evans?" Amos asks. As Jimena nods, Amos continues, "I remember him. He's a good kid. I hope things are doing better with his family. I've never understood what would bring parents to kick their own child out of the house." He looks to Tanya. "If my lovely wife here agrees, I think we could make some space for you kids."

"I have no problem with it at all." Tanya says. "I am sure that we can find a place for you guys."
"THank you both. We both are very thank for for it." Zion says.

"Thank you," Jimena says, sniffing back tears. "I'm so glad you said yes. We didn't exactly have a back up plan and we couldn't exactly just live on the streets. Not with Adi. And not with me being pregnant again."

"Well I honestly wouldn't have let you live on the street. Especially after spotting Adi." TAnya says.

"She is pretty cute, huh?" Jimena says with a relieved laugh as Adi stirs in her sleep. "Speaking of Adi, where do you think we'll be sleeping? I hate to make her sleep in my arms all night."

"THere is a guest room that is right down the hall. You guys can stay in there." Tanya says as she goes to get up to show them.
"We will show them Mom. You two might want to feed these three before they wake up Leona." Lux says as she and Xavier bring in Amelia, Lachlan and Jessamine along with three bottles.
"Follow us and we will show you the guest room." Xavier says after handing his brother and bottles to his step dad.

Jimena takes Zion's hand, repositioning Adi as they follow Xavier. She leans over to Zion as they do and whispers, "They're actually letting us share a room. Your parents never did that."
As they feed the triplets, Amos turns to Tanya. "They didn't seem to have much with them. Maybe we can get them a few things fo Christmas."

"I know. It may be just for the night though." he says softly.
"I agree that we should. We will go in the morning." she says.

"Me too Baby." he says.
"We also need to get them other things that they need. Not for Christmas but in general."

Jimena gives Zion a quick kiss as they follow Xavier into the room. "This is nice," she says.
"Oh, definitely," Amos replies. "We can sit them down later and figure out what all they'll need and go from there."

Jimena lays the sleeping toddler on the bed, gently sitting beside her. "Do you think we'll be okay, Z?" she asks softly.
Amos leans over and kisses her cheek. "I'm glad they found us okay."

"I can't believe your mom and dad kicked us out," she whispers, trying not to cry. "My parents I understood. But yours? I thought yours were okay."
"I'm glad they felt safe coming to us. That's exactly the kind of situation I want to foster with the kids who come through here."

"I tried to hide it for as long as I could but I can't fit into most of my old clothes anymore and I knew switching back to the maternity stuff would draw suspicion. Why did I insist we'd be okay that night? Why does this keep happening to us? It's not like we make a regular habit of sleeping together. We've been dating for, what, three years? We did it when we had Adi then we didn't for, like, almost a year and a half and since then, it's only been occasionally. I can probably count how many times we've done it on my hands."
"Can you imagine kicking your own kid out though at their most vulnerable?" Amos sighs.

"It is okay. I know that you hid it as long as you could. I hate that they kicked us out Baby but maybe it is for the best. I mean they could have waited till he or she was born to do it." he says.
"Me either. I will never understand that one. I know I would have hated myself if I had of done that to Cali when she was her age. Heck I wasn't much older then them when I had Matt, Cali and Eli."

"That's true... I'm just glad Amos said yes. What would we have done otherwise? How are we supposed to explain to Adi that none of her grandparents want to see her for Christmas and that the ones we were living with don't want to give her a house to live in?"
"That's when they need the most help. They're scared and feel like they're floundering," Amos sighs. "They're already stressed enough. They don't need trying to figure out where they're going to live to that equation."

"It's still going to be weird spending Christmas in an unfamiliar house with unfamiliar people," Jimena whimpers, nestling against Zion. "You know my mom and dad still haven't spoken to me since Adi?"
"See, this is one of many reasons I love you. Your views align so closely with mine on the big important things like."

"Their granddaughter turns two in six months. What makes you think they're gonna change their minds? Especially since we're having another one."
"Maybe we should put the triplets to bed. They all seem so sleepy."
