(OOC: if anyone would like to restart previous relationships, this is fine, but aside from a few I don't remember the kids of characters mine previously interacted with anymore. I will edit this when needed. )
The years have brought so many changes to BG and to us. Our grandchildren continue to grow, and it seems like so long in the past since the days when I found out I had a rare disorder that caused me to be born without any eggs, which made me wonder if I would have children at all. While our youngest three are currently on vacation with other relatives, here is everyone here at present.
I, Fiona Scarlett, am 57. I was born April 23,1958.) My husband, Cassius James, is 58 June 11,1957) Cass is a chef and I teach drama.
Our oldest is Nikolai Brock, called Kai. He was born January 27, 1982. He's had a rough time of it as he was able to find love again after the loss of his first wife,Emily but for unknown reasons, his second wife, Victoria, suddenly disappeared, taking the twins, Luke and Phoebe, and the stepsister, Violet, who was Christian's best friend outside of his cousin Stefania. Kai still blames himself, even though as far as any of us can tell, no wrong was done. Who knows why things like this happen? Kai used to run the hotel here, but isn't sure how he feels about resuming the job he had when his wife left.
Christian Vincent, Kai's son, was born March 15, 1999. He is now 20 and in college. He enjoys anything about nature, but particularly hiking in the mountains when he can get his dad to get away.He thinks he might like to become an environmentalist.
Amy Juliet was born on February 15, 1985. She, too, has a seemingly dissolved relationship and a disappeared little boy, Isaiah Joseph Beckett. While she's tried to find them with the police, nothing has ever turned up, and the best she can hope for is not to live through another tragedy. However, she has been throwing herself into her work as a veterinarian lately and seems to have found at least some degree of peace.
Amy's daughter Stefania Lisette was born on August 28, 1999. She is 19. While she will always remember the stepsisters and little brother who suddenly disappeared, she has adjusted as best she can to life without them, her only worry being for her mother, She never did outgrow her obsession of nature, but now she's thinking she might like to be a gemologist, in order to possibly help turn some of those beautiful rocks she loves into jewelry that others will treasure.
The gap between Amy and our son Joaquin was once filled by our daughter, Dawn Catherine ( January 6, 1986- February 2,2011), who was tragically murdered in Neighboring City in 2011 while on a visit to the mall. She is always in our hearts. While she found it hard to make friends because of a troubled past, including vandalism and underage drinking, her daughter was her life, and she also loved to bake.
Dawn left behind a daughter, eighteen-year-old Aurora Cadence (May 20,2001) who unfortunately suffered horrendous mental scarring due to custody fights for her between us and the friends Dawn had been living with before her death. She is a quiet, studious girl, and often solemn. Her childhood scars may bear fruit, however, as she has expressed interest in becoming a court advocate for children.
Next is Joaquin Santiago, who was born May 10, 1987. Joaquin is an accomplished guitar player nowadays and will give lessons if he is given the opportunity to do so. His life after his new family died in the earthquake from Japan has been confusing, to say the least, from going from a single father, to not, to being one again, but his daughter just thinks he needs some kind of stability, in his relationships and in any job he may choose to take.
His daughter Oceana Marisol was born October 7, 2003. She is an accomplished basketball player and enjoys foreign movies and poetry.I see her becoming a foreign language teacher, myself, but her talent on the court could possibly get her some acclaim as well- at least a scholarship to college.
Carmen Paloma was born on June 23, 1987. The leukemia which we adopted her in the middle of treatments for has not returned, but has left scars even years later. Carmen and her then-husband Matt Parker were unable to conceive because of the increased risk of stillbirths among childhood cancer survivors. She doesn't remember why she got divorced now, but she has 2 boys and a girl to show for her perseverance.
Celine Gabrielle (August 22, 1987) has been married to Theo Noble since February 25, 2011. The T5 spinal cord injury she suffered at age 12 has not kept her down... literally, there are times when she can use a frame for standing now, though Cass and I never understood how they work when she lived with us. Two adoptive kids later (eight year old Finn Robert, July 10, 2011 and five year old Verity Eve, March 7, 2014) one of the sweetest relationships I've ever seen in real life from the time we moved here in 2007 (move over, movie stars) has continued to grow and mature. I could swear they still look at each other as if they are the only two people in a room. It is a reminder to me to be patient more often. If people were more loving and patient with each other and their situations like Theo and Celine, maybe the world would be a better place not filled with so much hate and needless suffering at the hands of others, Sadly, Celine has never been able to carry a child to life before, and in fact has never even been able to get to the point where she could feel them move. It is her one great ache... surely such a passionate couple deserves...but those are thoughts she tries not to focus on, and I don't think two kids were ever loved (and respected for being just themselves) more. I tip my hat to them.
Claire Elise (April 12, 1988) is now hoping to use baking skills she learned from her sister Dawn somewhere if she can. I think in a way she wants to keep Dawn's legacy (or is that the legacy of her cupcake recipes?) alive.
Her daughter Lindsay Victoria, (August 16, 2004) whose hair is only a lighter shade of red, enjoys anything having to do with photography.
