Once he closes the door, Austen slips out of her pajamas, the same ones she wore to the hospital, and tosses them in the trash. She slides the shower curtain open and steps into the bathtub. Taking a seat, she allows the hot water to run down her back and mask her tears. After ten minutes, the tears have stopped and she has begun to feel like she may never feel anything again.
Another ten minutes pass but she has not moved from the shower floor, her legs tucked under her chin.

Austen reaches up to turn off the shower before crawling out next to him, wrapping herself in the towel left on the rack. Curling up next to Kit, she buries her face in his shoulder and begisn to cry.

Austen sits there, wearing only the towel and sobbing, for quite some time. As the tears begin to subside, she pulls the towel closer around ber. "I'm sorry..."
